The VL Jewelry Care Guide

Remove your jewelry before washing your hands, showering, gardening or doing other outdoor work, using cleaning products, applying makeup and creams, swimming, or exercising.
Exposure to harsh chemicals or high pressure can damage your jewelry.

Clean your jewelry regularly to remove dirt, oils, and buildup that can dull its appearance. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the surface.

You can usually clean most gemstone and diamond jewelry at home using water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush.
(Exception: opals) Clean opal jewelry with a dry, soft cloth to gently remove dirt and buildup. Do NOT use soap, liquid cleaning agents, steam cleaners, or ultrasonic cleaners.
